Continuity Presents:
Dowry of Mary Week
Praying Holy Hours throughout the week, with talks from some of England's most passionate Catholics, the Dowry of Mary Week seeks out to inspire Catholics to renew their own Faith as well as to reclaim England as Mary's own. Speakers will discuss their own personal conversions to Catholicism, as well as the historical circumstances that surrounded the great fissure in Christianity.
Continuity's most recent Dowry of Mary Week took place in Blackfen, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church from the 4th of December to the 9th. It was a great success, and was much enjoyed by all. Cyprian Blamires kicked it off with his conversion testimony, followed by Fr. Richard Whinder who gave a historical talk on Pre-Reformation England. Deacon John Greenwood was the surprise of the week, as he gave an inspiring testimony of how he came from communism to Catholicism. Fr. Finigan, the Parish Priest at Blackfen, gave an inspiring talk on the martyrs, and the week was rounded off by Joanna Bogle's account of Catholic Continuity in England's culture. May God bless all who attended, and we look forward to having another Dowry of Mary Week at some point in the future!
